strawpoll.com anymore. It stores hashed IP addresses so it can perform a very simple duplicate vote check, which is only meant to prevent people from accidentally voting twice. The IP hashes are stored separately from the votes themselves, and are also wiped after the poll ends. Other than that, voter IP addresses aren't used or analyzed in any way.
After updating the userscript, anyone can create a new poll by using the new P shortcut (that is, hold shift and press p). Polls that end without receiving any votes will be deleted, so if you made a mistake, you can simply abandon the poll and make a new one.
I took the opportunity to import all of our previous polls, which are listed here
https://4cct.adtstoasc.net/poll/I searched 4plebs and selected our own polls by hand. Hopefully I didn't miss any. I'm still considering the best way to automatically associate our future polls to their respective 4chan posts, so I'll probably push another update implementing that later. Note that for
strawpoll.me, the end time is the time when the results were retrieved since those polls are still open.
