This has literally been confirmed, multiple times.
They promised a major, comprehensive leak against Russia in 2010 but suddenly went silent on it and never did it, and later leaks of Syrian materials actively omitted things inconvenient for Russia.
In this same time frame, when Wikileaks were being strangled of funding from their traditional sources, Assange became an RT contributor and much more hostile towards Western countries.
Nobody is saying the guy is a Russian agent who gets his orders from Putin, he's just a volatile narcissist with a deep grudge against the US and Western politics, and he angled his work into hurting them as much as possible and turning a blind eye (or being indirectly helpful) to their enemies.
