2006 AFCCG (January 2007), Patriots vs Colts. League actually admitted that they botched a huge call by calling a rule against e Patriots that wasn't even in the rulebook (faceguarding), but I think that was part of the shenanigans. They didn't want that Patriots team going to another SB pver Peyton, ao they rigged that game, along with the regular season match that year as well, which is why the game was played in that dome instead of foxboro. There were numerous other botches including a bogus call that took a TD away from the Patriots that created Peyton's "comeback".
My suspicions began the year before with the divisional round Patriots vs Broncos, where numerous botched call went against the Patriots, including a bogus PI that handed the broncos a TD and a botched call that should have been a Touchback.
They didn't want that boring early 2000's Patriots team going to another SB over Peyton, who at the time was being marketed as the face of the league.
