OFFICIAL EFL CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFF SEMI-FINAL: SHEFFIELD UNITED v NOTTINGHAM FOREST MATCH THREAD

No.120294115 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
The second EFL Championship play-off semi-final also features two clubs that you wouldn't have expected to make the top six at various stages this season.

When Nottingham Forest sacked Chris Hughton in September, they were bottom with a single point. Sheffield United's dismissal of Slavisa Jokanovic in November saw them in 16th, 8 points off the top six. But under Steve Cooper and Paul Heckingbottom respectively, both sides were rejuvenated (the former in quite remarkable fashion) to finish 4th and 5th.

On the final day of the regular season, Forest would have finished 3rd were it not for a 94th minute equaliser from Hull City while the Blades thumped Fulham 4-0.

Kick-off is at 3:00pm BST with coverage on Sky Sports Football from 2:45pm.
