>7. Under 10th Company, replace "The Sandman" with "The Gatekeeper". Wait a sec, I totally forgot. The captain of the 10th Company doesn't need a personal title because he holds the position of Master of the Recruits.
For 10th company how about something like this:
- 20 Scout Sergeants (who are actually marines)
- 10 Scout Squads
- Initiates
The reason there are so many scout sergeants is that scouts are not tactical marines yet. When the sergeant falls asleep there is no one left in the squad with the same level of experience. So in practice each squad actually has 2 sergeants.
There are 10 scout squads in the company and I specifically left the numbers undefined. The overall number of scouts would fluctuate. But each squad would have at least 4-9 men in it who are then commanded by a sergeant. So minimum 40, maximum 90 scouts in 10th company.
Initiates are also not defined. They are part of 10th company, but the number is never set. Thanks to the way the trials work with no quota set, there may be 5 successful initiates in a year, just 1 in the next year, or even none at all. They probably average about 10-20 at any given time. Initiates are extensively trained before becoming scouts. So there would be overlap between the trials.
>>14592342Makes sense. Primus prefers to use axes and chainswords, thought they do make use of the full armoury. If you see a power sword in the hands of a Primus marine, its likely a golden Dawn Blade and he is a super badass.
Secundus on the other hand would probably prefer knives and swords with blackened blades. Power weapons would likely be claws or swords. Though bear in mind they will arm themselves with whatever the situation requires, just like Primus.
