Being of the Raven Guard, Randolphus did not suffer from node degeneration and the unusual sleep cycles that the brothers serving beneath had. However, Randolphus request Isaac's aid in constructing a dream catcher for himself, as a sign of loyalty, respect, and brotherhood with the marines that he was to command.
While the dream catcher of Randolphus would never see use, after that fateful day when the minions of Khaliman attacked, the catcher would be permanently affixed to the body of Randolphus, as a symbol that his body will be waiting for him when Randolphus can be returned.
