- Caravan traders: These come in two types, those with ramshackle vehicles and those with pack animals. They roam all over the planet and connect the Hive economy with the other far flung nomad tribes.
- Raiders: Nomad pirates basically, sticks to the same areas as the caravan traders. Preys upon nomads, travelers, passing trains and each other. Tend to have lots of stolen vehicles. Not all of them are redemptionists.
- Beastmasters: Similar to the caravan traders, but live far away from any hive where the desert meets the tundra. Each tribe maintains a large herd of domesticated creatures that serve a variety of uses: transportation, food, guardian etc.
- Cloud Kingdoms: Each kingdom is composed of many tribes all vying for limited resources among the mountain ranges. The fertile grounds shift with the changing of the seasons, so they are constantly on the move. A handful of mountains remain fertile all year round. These few house the only permanent kingdoms on the planet.
- Nightkin: Cave dwelling nomads. They live underground or burrowed into massive petrified trees. They have excellent night vision and only travel long distances at night on foot. Among other nomads they are famed for their ambushing skills. Bursting out of seemingly undisturbed ground, blades in hand. Secundus Nightkin are named after them.
- Ice Nomads: The second rarest type of nomads after the cloud people, these tribes live in the northern tundra where it meets the northern polar cap. They hunt the local wildlife inhabiting the tundra and small lakes. Rarely the ice covering what is left of Icelus's ocean will grow thin and allow for fishing as well. As the ground is frozen and cannot be dug, permanent settlements are carved into the ice.
