Maybe. Oh, and according to some (post-christianity) legends, the Skogsrå are the children of Lillith. The Huldra have a similar deal, where Eve hides some of her children from god, and for the crime of trying to hide them from God, they would be hidden from Humanity.
Totally not the "lol trolls made us" thing, though.
Alfr were something completely different.
Honestly, if you want a proper RPG inspired by Norse folklore you should look at Drakar och Demoner: Trudvang. And learn Swedish, since I don't think it's been translated. Oh, and it's out of print. Because the world hates us all.
For a fun thing inspired by some Swedish folklore, check out Astrid Lindgren's Ronja Robbersdaughter. I'm sure you can acquire an english copy of the film, although I don't know how good the translation would be.>>28162614
The Disney version of Hades is entertaining, yes, but he's not Hades. He's the Satan-figure to go with Disney Zues' God-figure. (That movie in general is great for this.)
The real Hades was one of very few non-dicks in a pantheon of sausages. He had the entire thing with Persephone, admittedly, but she kind of seems to love him back? Oh, and Zeus (the God-expy) was a serial rapist who liked it kinky.>>28162813
While I can understand wanting to add details (how else to integrate it into the setting?), the text completely whitewashes the more sinister parts of the Huldra/Skogsrå. It doesn't just ignore them, it does some kind of mythological retcon thing with "A Troll did it".
Oh, and why the hell didn't they go for the entire "legions of animals" thing they have going for them in lore? Sorry if I'm acting a bit patriotic here, but we're talking about Paizo looking at some mildly interesting Fey, seeing a foxgirl, and taking a big, steaming dump on my countries mythology. I'm assuming it's from my country, of course, since the Norweigen Huldra was the one without a foxtail.
It's very irritating.>>28162897
Guns target Touch AC anyway, so yeah.
