I'mma build the stalking dutchman [1/2]
Ship: Trireme(80). Quality of crew over quantity of cannons.
Comfy(130). Never. Ending. Toilet. Paper.
Reinforced Hull(180). Need to survive the initial panicked cannon salvo. Also withstand deep pressures from...
Submersible(280). The oars allow paddling underwaetr. We sneak up on unwitting ships like, surface, fire a salvo, then re-submerge if they're not sufficiently weakened. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Cannon Gates(380). The surprise salvo's main providers, as swivels wouldn't be powerful enough.
Safe Room(430). Hide my treasure inside. Hide it behind a painting in my captain's quarters as the door to an unopenable safe. Any who take over my ship and have a shred of greed will take the whole safe and try to open it in their home-base. That's where I'll break out of it and take over THEIR base.
Thruster(530). Every vehicle needs a turbo option.
150 Skeletons(590). A typical Trireme needs about 170 rowers but my budget isn't enough. And anyway, skeletons are literally the best option! Never tire, never slow down, never make a sound, and perfectly synchronized. I assume this will push my ship's speed to maximum. Plus they don't need to eat, so they shouldn't affect the maximum crew size in terms of needed food.
5 Traders(594). Must have a couple of people that know how to sell something without starting a bar fight that spreads from our ship to the navy ships coming to arrest us... DAMN that sounds awesome, I'm having second thoughts now.
70 Seasoned Pirates(678)(Cannoneers are goblins). 20 to man the cannon gates (2 per cannon), 10 to man the swivel guns, 10 for miscellaneous tasks (sails, lookout...etc) and protecting the ship from boarders, and 30 to board.
2 Gifted (718). Assist in boarding (1 per 15 man team).
Race: Human. I'm a puritan.
