Does Tiamat have one consciousness or five working in concert? If five, does this remain the case when she takes a one-headed form?

>>88105616It wasn't the game it needed to be, but 4e gleefully breaking the cosmology allowed it to do things that other editions can't, like its truly excellent take on metallic dragons.
Yes, they're aligned with Bahamut, and when it comes to interdimensional conflict they'll show up on the Good side; but they're still dragons, proud and greedy and dismissive of the needs of mortals. So they might still pillage a bit and hoard a bit and aren't easy to negotiate with, and sometimes must be fought as a result by a group considering itself to be heroes.
Much like with fey, 4e looked at metallic dragons and thought "how can we make these stop being pointless manual filler?" Which is just the correct attitude from the perspective of delivering a good, cost-effective product.
