The worst person you can get on your team according to some of the more heartless individuals, there's no doubt that when it comes to fiends everything for miles would rather sink its teeth into her than the civillians behind her. She survives largely by virtue of her AI controlled reaction speed and technological enhancements. Her flesh seems exceptionally durable and her reflexes are sharp, but her primary weapon is only a blade.

Her fighting style is largely to just walk forward, draw all the attention, and then hunker down and explode killing everything around her and sending waves of shrapnel and gore flying. Its simple, effective, and pretty stupid. But you can't argue with results. She also does AI-guided artillery and support fire, and generally is a solid point to fight around for anyone else on her team.

Outside of combat she's a very dour sort. Shouldering the fate of humanity upon herself and being quite alike the general she follows. It seems like she doesn't ever let her guard down, just waiting for the day her luck runs out and the balance of the battlefield shifts.

I don't like the genre shift you're bringing to the MHA writefags, Anon.
But to be more precise, I wouldn't call the part I dislike a genre shift, and more doubling down on something that was already starting to creep in: "good is incompetent, evil does whatever it wants". In all the (Horrific) Five, and 360 writefags so far, it feels like it's a wank of the badguys to the point that the good side is shown to be absolutely useless. And with the "Flight of the Sahugins" it's not even the "good side", so much as the side your characters are on.
Maybe it's just me, but more writefags where the same group is being shown as so op that they carry no risk going into any of their grandiose plans, makes it sound very Mery Sueish, and kills my interest in it. There is zero stakes in it. It's practically assured that their plans will succeed, with no setbacks, and they will do it styling on their enemies so hard it feels like they are fighting children.
At first I assumed you wanted to start on the high note to highlight how powerful they are, so when the plans start to go wrong, it highlights the strength of their opponents too, but you seem to be going into it deeper and deeper instead.
I feel like the only reason this doesn't get called out as much as Mio not getting busted for her shenanigans, is that it's rather separated from most builds, so people simply don't care enough to point it out.

Frank is a huge man made of stone and encased in heavy armour. There are few things that can take him down, and even fewer that can keep him there, so he usually plays the role of the party tank. The tactic that earned him the nickname is grabbing priority targets, entombing them under ground, and blowing them up. If possible, he'll first get out of the newly dug grave first and cover it to protect others from the blast, but if that's impossible, he doesn't shy away from detonating the explosives while he's still holding the target. Depending on the amount used and how the battle has been going up until that point, he might be able to keep fighting or be incapacitated alongside his target.
Personality wise, he's very blunt. He enjoyed woodcarving before the transformation but lacks the manual dexterity for it now. He tried to switch to stone-sculpting, but since he can control it with his abilities, that turned out to be no fun. In free time, he enjoys eating, drinking, and taking dumb bets which usually involve people trying to find what the biggest calibre of a gun is that Frank can tank without flinching.

I disagree entirely. First off, this is a setting with very large power gaps, just like nearly all shonen, so nothing happening in these stories is "Mery Sueish". What we've had so far are incompetent or subtle threats/antagonists. The former are mostly used as jokes and to make small fry heroes look good, and the latter have been refusing to throw their weight around because of this general's aversion to having an effect on other players. Basically, we've had the issue of the Good Guys being so omnipotent that everything is stagnant, and the Bad Guys being so ineffectual that they're basically Saturday morning cartoon villains from an 80s toy commercial.

All that's been happening is a raising of the stakes: an actual international threat is showing they have no problems with shaking things up because they are uninvested in keeping the peace. They're big fish in a small pond. This is not only realistic, it's good for the health of the narrative and it fits in appropriately with genre conventions.

I can only hope that writers ignore you and people who whine like this. There's no point to this hobby if it's always everyone doing tea parties because they're afraid to look too good or do too much.

If we're going by shonen standards then why don't we go by the MHA itself? How many times did we have fights where someone is there just to absolutely dominate the other side to the point where they risk absolutely nothing like this did? We're introduced to a setting with the number one hero being heavily wounded due to a fight with the number one villain who also ended up maimed (and later after a rematch they are both out of commission permanently). The protag constantly gets injured by the fact he has to overuse his powers to keep up. Government might fuck up at times but it's not just a mix of fools and turncoats. Both the villains and heroes fight to get ahead, and gain some and lose some as the result. There is a risk and a price. The contest is much more evenly matched.
What we have here is an escalation of power, but as it is currently presented, it certainly isn't raising of stakes. The villains presented here don't put anything on the line. They just come in and sweep the house. If you want to escalate the power level, at least do it for the enemies too. It's like if you had a Dragonball Z tournament that you cut after Z-fighters absolutely dominate the normal dudes, and there is no Cell behind it or anything. This is the style that only works in parodies (like OPM) or "cheat isekai" shows; I don't think we're going for either of those genres, so I don't see how this fits the convention. I don't understand the reason you believe it's good for the narrative. Where do you see this going? Just then taking over whole of Japan in two weeks? Do you really enjoy this? Please explain, because I can't wrap my head around that.

Like I said in my initial response, if this was the intro then alright, but it's already another writefag like this that seems to be going deeper into it than the opposite direction, and with how long the storylines here tend to be, unless this tendency changes quickly (and there are no signs of it), it probably wouldn't just be "the first quarter" of it.
And I guess I might have missed that point, but I didn't notice the place where it was defined that it's the Japan (or at least it's government) as a whole that is corrupt, and not just some elements of it. And there is also a separation between the corrupt and the inept. The writefags seemed to me to show off more the side of the government not being above unethical deeds to further its goals, rather than it being incapable of noticing this scale of action on their territories.
And no, it's not just the low powered cops that were shown to be incompetent, it's everyone involved, every hero and government official involved whose duty was to help prevent such situations, was shown to fuck up or be a turncoat.
And with the way the scale works, this is already pushing into other spaces with stuff like:

I just hope it's gonna go the way you think it will, with this still being part of the intro that's there to establish their position, and it won't just keep getting bigger and bigger, because as much as I'd like to believe that there will be "room for both", I think that this city might be too small for those new groups.

Hilarious as always. There's a few typos here and there but they don't detract much. Misspelled words, run-on sentences, that kind of minor thing. You did a good job making all the dialogue sound like different people. Inigo didn't sound like Junichi who didn't sound like Rosethorn who didn't sound like Maru who didn't sound like a human sometimes which was funny.

When Mammogar returned I was weirdly hyped. It's like Ryu-kishi is developing a rogue's gallery. I was glad to see the physics lesson at the start get pay off, too. Good work.

I doubt she watched it live but she might have seen highlight clips on a video website since it's apparently a big deal. She would form opinions about their potential to go pro and be biased if she thought they were hot. It must have gone pretty differently in our canon. A good chunk of that class don't have a reason to become hero students or even get born. Maybe the brainwash guy actually made the cut in the timeline.

Right off the bat I want to commend you for going all the way with the story and only ending at a natural stopping point. This is a polished story. Two things that struck me as odd though: the first being that Hifumi was able to teleport while keeping his vision and without bouncing back to "start", and the second being all the zombies becoming instantly decrepit and rotted even though they were all alive just minutes ago. To my mind, it doesn't make sense that they lack the resilience and general appearance of (extremely injured) living people.

During the fight scene I started to get confused about Impakt's limits on kinetic absorption. Clearly it's not total, but where's the line? Also, who is Hana? Was she in a different story I didn't see? The way she's referenced makes it seem like we're supposed to know more about her suicide attempt than the mention we get in Ernest's agency.

It was cool to see a pro at work, including the troubles with fame and the demands of celebrity-industry. That's one of the few interesting things about this setting and I was glad to see it hadn't been dropped.

Thanks for the critique. To answer some of your questions, I didn't fully understand Hifumi's Quirk at the time of writing. As for the zombies, I don't think I wrote them as rotting anywhere. As a martial artist, I can attest that hitting hard enough just once to the wrong area can stop a fight, so that's why they might not seem as resilient. Just watch a UFC fight. Sometimes all it takes is a single punch, and those are people trained to take a hit.
Impakt can absorb a lot of energy, but I never settled on an exact limit. I just rule-of-cooled it.
Ernst was also supposed to have a conversation with Hana in a flashback during the fight, but I didn't want to keep anons waiting any longer than I already had, so it got dropped. Might write it as an addendum to this, but she recently lost family to villains and Impakt has a heart-to-heart with her, sharing his own experiences.

Overall, most of the holes in the story can be explained by "I thought it went hard".

So, I've found myself hesitating and decided I'll just see what the thread thinks about the premise for my writefag.

The first part is Maru visiting the Mitsurugi Dojo for sword training. Another member of 1-D should also be there, currently debating Orochi but I don't have a good excuse yet. Basically just some light SoL stuff and maybe a little sparring.

The second part is Drekus causing trouble, and his trouble places the Dojo in danger. Chihiro refuses to abandon the Dojo and engages Drekus, and her guests ultimately get drawn into the action. The Pro Hero on the scene is Seiryu (thus why I was debating on bringing Orochi along).

What do anons think? Does it sound like an interesting plot? Or should I go back to the drawing board and think up another plot entirely?

My usual advice is to take your time and copy out the things you want to change the color of and put it onto it's own layer. It's troublesome because the process of just selecting the thing you want can take a while, but it's a very consistent and reliable method.
Failing that, I suppose you could post the image you're trying to edit and I could mess with it myself- maybe I could give better advice that way. Or maybe I could do a schizo screenshot tutorial of me do a color edit? Maybe that'd be useful if you're more of a visual learner?

If you can pull off that link between the students and the pros, which does sound challenging, that would be even better.

I remember when I was the age of 1-D that classmates who barely talked would suddenly get really curious about each other and we'd impose ourselves on one another just to figure out how someone else lived. The fact that all these people are in the middle of puberty and figuring out what it means to be in charge of yourself might be all the justification you need to bring in the characters you want to bring in. "Because I felt like it" is a believable reason.

Speaking of landing a hit, I was thinking about how that would go down earlier this week. I think Chihiro's speed is enough to deal with slower projectiles like non-lethal, rubber bullets- basically, if it's under 300 m/s, it's in the range that she can parry the bullets. Once you get past that with more lethal arms, she can only do some high speed serpentine maneuvers and hope her opponent misses. So it's an odd dynamic where Sally poses an entirely different threat level depending on the ammunition she uses.

Fair enough. If we do end up with like 4 students per hero, then I'd probably send Chihiro to Popsy. Team PR Disaster seems fun after all. Either way, we'll play it by ear and see how things go. If all else fails, we could split the group up and have two of the students go to Smokin Sexy's internship instead and just have the two Pro Heroes meet up often- it feels like that happens anyway.

Either way, I definitely want Chihiro to interact with Popsy more. I should add that to my writefag queue somewhere. And I feel you on the catching up thing. When I was stuck in my rut with the saber meeting, I skipped over a ton of writefags and the issue kind of just kept growing. I've got a big backlog I need to work through eventually. As a rule, sparring, even with practice swords, isn't for people that don't have the basics down. Like with any kind of contact sport, it's really easy to hurt yourself or your opponent until you've got at least a month or two of practice, slowly working your way up from stances, to slow movement sparring, and gradually increasing the speed until you're ready to spar at full speed.
Thus I figured neither Sally nor Orochi would actually be sparring with the practice swords, but rather it'd just be normal sparring with quirks involved. Not to say Chihiro isn't happy to hand out a free lesson before the sparring starts, it just wouldn't be enough for sparring. Hoge on the other hand has the excuse of having practiced some kendo in a club before, so she does get something of a pass.
That was the logic anyway. If you were looking forward to reading about Sally trying to directly spar with the practice swords, or just think she'd be impatient enough to insist, I can, of course, accommodate. I'm still in the planning phase, so it's easy to make changes~

Also, personally I think Sally would fit right in with team PR disaster.

She might end up late once or twice a month, but overall Chihiro is in the group that arrives early. She believes it's best to set your schedule to arrive early so you have more flexibility if something goes wrong. So probably 10-15 minutes early.
