Visiting Vienna next month, tips welcome

No.2326513 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
So i'm going to Vienna, Austria next month for 7 days. Is there enough to do there for 7 days or is it better to visit other cities as well ?

I am planning to spend a day in Bratislava as well just to check it out.

Here are some questions:

1. Is the city/country safe for tourists or is there a lot of crime ?

2. If you travelled there, any recommendations for places to check out ? From monuments, museums to restaurants, i'm open to any avenue if it's interesting and worth the money.

3. Should i rent a car and visit other cities or simply go by train ?

4. Any hotels you recommend ? I don't necessarily have a budget but if i can get good value for money then it's all the better.

5. Are the women there easy ? Not planning to go there as a coomer but if i can meet some interesting women then why not.

Your help is appreciated anons

>When will Japan open to tourists again?
Probably early 2023.
>OK, but seriously, when will Japan be open to tourists?
2023? Currently they are doing tour groups with fixed itineraries and restricted movement. It doesn't look good after Shinzō Abe assasination
>Japanese news
>News by gaijin for gaijin

>How do I travel by public transportation?
Use Google Maps within cities, install the Hyperdia or Jorudan app for intercity travel
>Dude, what should I see in ________?
>Solid general guides - sights, sample itineraries, pre-travel considerations, etc

ーCurrent status on the Miyajima Floating Torii Gateー
Under construction. Consequently, it's not worth visiting Miyajima.

ーInfo on Prositutionー
Most brothels in Japan don't allow in foreigners, and the ones that do are notoriously expensive - at least $400USD per hour. If you're mainly interested in cooming go to another country.

ーJR Passー
JR Rail Pass is worth it? It depends on your itinerary.
Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options:
>7 day Pass: 29,110¥ (approximately a Tokyo-Kyoto round-trip bullet train trip)
>14 day Pass: 46,390¥
>21 day Pass: 59,350¥

Where to travel for those who have traveled everywhere?

No.1938730 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
I've been to 40 countries.

>3-12 parents take me to Europe and parts of East Asia, as well as Caribbean vacation spots
>11-18 go on educational summer camps abroad in Europe every year, one summer in Japan
>18-22 study abroad in the UK for one semester, travel Europe again through the Summer
>22-30 Travel Africa, South America, East asia again, SE asia, Russia, Mongola, UAE, etc.

By the way I'm a semi-trust fund kid who also made a shit load in the stock market (from a small gift of 200k from parents when I graduated college)

What is there to do now? Honestly, I feel like the entire Earth is boring to me now, which on one hand is good because it allows me to focus on my work and find more depth in life... but on the other hand, I miss the adventures I had traveling, and the "newness" of it all.

It's impossible to "do it all" but I've done most of all of it. Eaten at the best restaurants in the world, banged expensive hookers in Germany and cheap ass SE hookers, lived in huts in Mongolia and backpacked with nothing through south America. Have experienced about as much as the gamut as I think one can.

Suggestions on what else there is to do? Supposedly there is an island somewhere in Polynesia where you can eat people.. not saying I would do that, but looking for suggestions of things that people haven't ehard of.

I was planning to go to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos during 13th june - 13th august but now realised that this is when the monsoon hits.

I wanted great weather on my travel, this would be my first time travelling so spending it in the rain would be horrible.

How can I change my trip? I was planning to go to Ho Chi minh city, then through the coasts of cambodia up to angkor wat, then to bangkok and the islands in south thailand, and then back up, perhaps skip northern thailand and go to Ha long bay, and down the coast of Vietnam to roughly where I started.

However, now that I realise this is monsoon season for most of these countries, I was thinking about starting in Da nang, doing the same as before, finish in the southern thailand islands and then get a plane to Indonesia for the last couple weeks.

Do you think this is a reasonable attempt at avoiding a lot of rain? Is monsoon season that bad? I do want days where it is just sunny all day and don't have to worry about carrying a coat with me.

Hawaii must sees

No.2175726 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I will be honeymooning in Hawaii in may. I wanna hear the must sees, best restaurants, and watering holes.

We will be staying in Waikiki and not renting a car. We aren't rich so nothing extravagant.

What we are thinking of doing. Aloha Bowl Flea Market for the cheap shit. A Luau, tell me the best one. Remember no rental car.

Where would you stay in Las Vegas for the most *iconic* location?

No.2229545 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
I have not been to Las Vegas since before I was of legal gambling age. Am planning a 3-night stay, and looking for ideas of where to stay. I am Marriott Plat, Hilton Diamond, IHG Diamond, Wyndham Diamond (and by extension Caesars Diamond).

Would like to stay at same property for all 3 nights, most iconic and on-strip if possible. For a long time I thought Nobu was the place I wanted to stay at, but after realizing only suites and up have deep soaking tub I looked around and now I'm not so sure. This is not supposed to be an expensive trip, so I am not going through my Virtuoso agent.

Any suggestions for properties (where status makes a difference is a plus) for low cash rates? I've become very enamored with the Venetian with IHG offer https://www.ihg.com/content/us/en/deals/hotel-offers/venetian-palazzo. Pic also related, I'm thinking of booking at the Cosmo before they leave Marriott
