So me and two friends are considering going to Georgia this summer. Our plan is to stay there for about 10 days, rent a car and go 50% camping 50% staying in hostels/hotels.

Anyone from Georgia with tips and recommendations about their country? Maybe fellow travellers who's been there?

"Dude what should I see in ________?"
Solid general guides - sights, sample itineraries, pre-travel considerations, etc
/JPG/anon put together an autistic supermap of sights, restaurants, and shopping. Go nuts.

*Info on prostitution*
Please try to refrain from asking questions about prostitution. If you're coming to Japan solely for prostitutes you should probably consider a different country like China or Singapore.
What is available can generally be found in the following links

*JR Pass*
Many people ask about whether or not the JR Rail Pass is worth it. It depends on your itinerary.
Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options:
>7 day Pass: 29,110¥ (approximately a Tokyo-Kyoto round-trip bullet train trip)
>14 day Pass: 46,390¥
>21 day Pass: 59,350¥

Super-easy rail pass calculator. Fill in your planned trips, get a quick yes/no response.

Please check the /trv/ sticky before asking questions. It's filled with links to great resources, many of them specific to Japan travel.

Interrailing Italy

No.1567463 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm planning of interrailing from the north of Italy down to Palermo and then flying home from there, in the summer. Where should I start (flying from London) and what are some places I should definitely stop at along the way? I was thinking to spend about 4-6 weeks.

Expatting in Singapore vs. East Asia

No.1554854 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm currently working in Singapore and I really like it here. It's a very convenient country to live in, and I feel like a lot of the things that people complain about when it comes to life in Asia (shit working conditions, language barrier, pollution, difficult to get Western food) are simply nonexistent here.

However, I've made some Korean and Japanese friends here and they all plan to go back to their countries eventually. This made me curious if it's just because they feel more comfortable in their home country, or if living in Japan/Korea really is nicer than in Singapore. Despite all of the disadvantages compared to SG, is it worth giving East Asia a try?

Does anyone have experience with living in both places?
