It's easy to call someone stupid, so when I call this stupid, I'd like to specify that it is an open display of non-thought and rejection of thinking. The thinking here has all the agility and flexibility of a drop of sap moving down a treetrunk. I keep hearing this aggressively stupid phrase on this board, so it needs to be addressed.
First, it effaces every detail of sex. Having sex is apparently like switching a light on or off. It has no more attributes than the letter X in mathematics. It has no variations, no different contexts, no conditions of any kind. The sheer absence of thought displayed here is like witnessing a black hole of ignorance.
Second, it also effaces every detail of geography and culture and politics involved in different countries and regions. Does the person writing this live inside a white cube? Are they unable to think? Or are they just mulishly unwilling or think and angry that anyone is thinking about a topic that annoys them?
Third, the persistence of this phrase is a clear sign of resentment. Which begs the question, what kind of person resents either a. national differences, or b. sex?
My guess is either a. someone who does not travel and wants to dismiss it as all equivalent, or b. someone who does not have sex and wants to dismiss it as all equivalent.
