the ONLY way to live abroad with a decent quality of life is to be a computer programmer it seems unless you're already otherwise rich.
I'm a somewhat highly finance guy making 120k a year. My skills aren't transferable, I'm in a niche law enforcement role. I have a bachelors degree in business, speak english, french, portuguese somewhat and spanish somewhat
My job is making me literally sick. I just can't take the grind anymore despite the golden handcuffs its not enough. I'm thinking of transitioning into computer programming. I want to take a 1 year certificate program for computer science to bolster my bachelors degree. I'm told that a CS certificate+bachelors in business would be good enough for a computer science role
Has anyone ever done this? I'm 28, its not too late for me to switch entirely. I'm already worn out at 28 doing a job I don't like and forced to live in cities I don't really enjoy.
