What is it with people not empathising with people of different races?
Do people watch dramas or romances with a white cast, and not feel anything for the main character?
Southpaw was a great movie, the main dude loses his wife due to his own anger issues, throws his life away, loses his child, and her respect, and works his ass off to win her back. Do Black people watch that movie and feel nothing for him? I thought that was a crazy emotional movie, especially from the acting of Gyllenhaal and the daughter character. The dude's race has nothing to do with it, those circumstances could happen to anyone of any race.
