It’s a shame people who care about animal rights ruined a lot of potentially cool scenes from movies. Don’t people realize that animals are mindless? They can’t think in words or sentences, and they have no self awareness. They’re basically biological robots following a base line instinct. Even if you think a cat or dog would love you, they’d eat you if they were larger and hungry without second thought

Apparently Milo and Otis was horrific behind the scenes. Don't know how much of it's true but it ranges from breaking kittens' legs so it would move in the desire manner to throwing countless cats off cliffs for the right shot.

Yep, and now there's tons of laws surrounding using horses in cinema. There was a thing about game of thrones where D&D wanted to have the most live horses on screen at once for Battle of the Bastards, and to do all sorts of dangerous and outrageous stunts. But they were completely ignorant of how illegal it all was and people had to keep telling them 'no, you can't do that'
