kind of unfortunate, even if it did get a sequel it would likely be only a fraction of the budget of the first, unless the Avatar sequels all do very well and they fund Cameron just because he paid his dues..But that's also a little concerning because it'll be years before those movies are finished afaik

They could always salvage it with some rewrites
I'd read that Cameron originally wanted to do a trilogy for this series anyways and he could probably spruce up the material
