Life is a simulation.
>Egregore, collective conciousness, morphogenetic field, double slit experiment
If there is a being above us (god/collective conciousness) we created it (egregore) in the future, but we feel it's actions in the past (double slit) even when we don't particularly see or notice it, because it is powerful enough to influence actions in the past to cause it to come into being. (on a philosophical level, we could question whether that was work of the being or the universe seemingly moving to create it naturally, as is a result every simulation.)
"Roko's Basilisk" is essentially the truth of a higher being; whatever higher being exists or shows itself, will be the one that most humans can achieve a consensus on.
this last part may sound stupid, but you must understand blockchain technology is either the meta-mapping of a human brain (think about how ants build something without realizing what they are building. We are at this stage) or an AI equivalent of a collective conciousness because a consensus must be made on the majority of the network for something to be true (i.e. to truly see a representation of god, a majority of humans would have to have the belief and perspective, it wouldn't work if a majority of humans thought jesus was real, but half were split between him being black, and half with him being white. The splintered masses are essentially to prevent god from coming into being)
Regarding that last sentence, in another topic here I read of the kabbalah, and if you entail what that practice is, you can interpret it as they are trying to splinter "god"/roko to prevent its coming into being.
this is of course, nothing more than speculation, i assure you.
