That's all i'm saying. Most people live humdrum lives. They don't know rituals or the forbidden knowledge that might attract a guest nor have they experienced something crypto. Seeking it out is, as you say, a fool's endeavor. We're talking past each other honestly.
Even if you don't seek it out, most people who have full lives will intersect with it at some point due to being contacted by dead relatives and even dead pets in certain cases (including through vivid dream states). This is the reason why I always assume complete atheists are total losers with no friends or family.
