The issue is how YouTube and some online sites handle the audio files which you stream on their platforms, which actually causes the problem that you don't actually achieve the intended effect
You might not necessarily understand and hear the difference between hearing the same binaural wave oscillating between left and right ear on the headphones, but you're under the placebo/nocebo influence when using YouTube.
You need the real audio file and play it on your system for it to actually work.
If you download the audio file from YouTube, it won't work either because of how they affect audio when uploading to their platform like exif data scrubbing of images online works.
