I found out last year from a consumer DNA test. I'm Australian with anglo ancestry. My half siblings told me my biological fathers name and a bit about him, but I have no interest in meeting him or my half siblings. Theres like 8 siblings that I know of but statistically 90% of donor conceived children are unaware of their conception story, so it's very likely that there is 50-100 siblings out there which is weird to think about. One of my siblings lived like a suburb away from me so I could have easily just bumped into her and not even known. It's weird, they all look like me too.

My father was a scientist, that means nothing though. A degree is a piece of paper, maybe it meant more in the 90's but it still means very little. You have to be pretty arrogant to believe that petty social biases like height and educational attainment are a hole proof means for selecting life. It's an absolutely monumental task and I cant help but feel like the people in charge of this selection process are wreckless, incompetent imbeciles with little regard for the lives of the absolute monstrosities they create.
