Especially when you know that in combat, Tomcats have been shot down in dogfight by old Mirage F1...
That's why dozens of Mirage F1 have been bought by a private company in the USA, for the training of American pilots....
Mirage 2000 is not as powerful as a Rafale, of course. But it is regularly updated like this one, and is still able to perform its missions with great ease.
In addition to being reliable, and cheap to fly.
