>>25615620I have a 3 year old Blackvue DR650GW-2CH hardwired using their proprietary "powermagicpro" box that stays on while parked, but the box kills the camera once the battery depletes to a certain voltage to make sure you can start the car. They're expensive new, but my old one works good. The wifi download function sucks, and you need to buy a microSD to use it. Then just pull the microSD and put it in a computer/phone to view the footage, best done with their proprietary desktop app. Fortunately, they still have software for old models on their website and customer service is responsive.
heres one on ebay with just the front cam for pretty cheap:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165544420692?hash=item268b376554:g:h4UAAOSwS1xipQfPI think generally you want:
-Capacitor powered (batteries fail or explode when left in the heat right under the windshield forever)
-No GPS and/or no cellular data connection (who wants to be tracked by this shit)
-Rear channel would be nice
>>25615685Could be a lot of things. Could be:
broken sway bar bushing
failed *literally any* suspension bushing
loose brake caliper
loose brake pad
loose wheel hub/bearing
Best to put it up in the air and give a cursory inspection to make sure it's not something serious
>>25615834Move to CT where they dgaf for any vehicle over 25 years old, no inspection simply vin verification. CT is a secret libertarian haven as far as car laws.
