I'm horrible about "downbadging" cars. I'll debadge for the pure asthetic look. But I've downbadged many of my cars. My current hellcat is badged as a base model. It's just funny for someone who doesn't know and thinks their civic is faster than my "stock" v6 challenger.

I had audi with fake exhaust and cvt that shifted through fake gears. It was old model, if it was couple years newer it would also make fake exhaust sounds though in-exhaust mounted speakers.

Caliper cover's aren't "fake" you sperg, they are literally just covers. They have them for many vehicles, people often like to have colored calipers without having to repaint them or simply keep brake dust off them

A lot of people will debadge random badges like "AWD" and the model number because it can feel like too much, having just the manufactures badge suffices and is more aesthetic sometimes.
