Hey truckers I would like to join your ranks to open up my job and vehicle opportunities.
I'm looking for a CDL study guide I can download and take with me, or just a website if you dont know a good download.
Trucker question: So I understand that 80,000 lb is the limit for a normal load, but i haven't figured out exactly what this is. trailer + load? truck + trailer + load? gvwr of truck + trailer?
im wondering specifically about moving heavy equipment. i would like to talk to my boss about buying his own rotating telehandler to cut out crane and telehandler rental costs for the company.
the big boy: https://www.magnith.com/en-us/products/6-51/
"empty weight" = 80,240 lb. so theres no moving this thing without a special permit.
empty weight= 67,460 lb. ok so if its 80k for just trailer and its load, then that would leave me 12,540 lb for trailer, machine fluids, etc.
or am i totally wrong about this?
