Almost 20 years ago, comedians suddenly had the potential to become as famous as A-list actors. They spent 8 years making fun of Bush and the religious right and then another 8 years of self-stroking and sniffing Obama's farts. Most of them started living in and around Los Angeles to work in big time movies and shows.
So you take a person that worked a profession where you grinded clubs, bars, and maybe casinos and the best thing you could previously hope for was to get regular work writing comedy scripts or a comedy central special. Now, you put those people on a pedestal, make them rich and famous, live in a gated, bubble environment where everyone treats them like royalty and never says they're wrong, and this is what you get.
Jim Jefferies is the perfect example of a once great comedian turned into a complete liberal cuck after moving to California.
