>>186026605If you are under 30:
Casual:
- decent sneakers
anything classic, no yeezies, no high fashion garbage.
Try allstars, new balance, vans era etc
- decent boots
Again, nothing gaudy. Palladium has decent boots for not much money. Preferably try red wings or something if you have the cash
- jeans in solid color. No rips or tears. Tapered, not skinny.
- solid white/black tshirt in summer. No graphics.
- button down (not dress shirt/button up, learn the difference) in a casual fabric in not-summer
Business:
Get a suit tailored. It's gonna cost some $$$. Navy in a not too heavy fabric. Learn what full/half canvas is. Learn about pockets, where they are and what's classic. Learn the difference between a blazer, a sports jacket and a suit jacket. From here, build your wardrobe with slacks in good fabrics that work with the navy from the jacket.
Protip: check out vintage markets. Learn how to recognize quality garments (hand stitching etc).
Buy decent dress shoes. Crockett and Jones, Churches, something like that. Buy them off ebay for 1/3 new price. They will still be in great shape and will last you long.
NO BLACK, NO GREY (at least for now). Black is for funerals and black tie events. Do NOT wear black in a business suit.
Buy nice shirts. Learn about ties and pocket squares. Relearn how to tie your dress shoes (srs).
