Irony represents direct opposite message of the original view.
Satire is pure exaggeration.

For example, with the 10 hours of walking through NYC as a white male video; if they are using irony their message is essentially "this is what feminists actually believe lel", and if they're using satire, their message is "this is what the patriarchy looks, but with heavy exaggeration".

Not that kind of joke. It's satire. He's moving the kind of people who actually believe that shit. The problem is for whatever reason the sjw and affiliated crowd seem impervious to satire. The webcomic Homestuck, whatever anyone's opinion of it is, has a perfect example. The fanbase got a direct injection from tumbler, and those people were obnoxious as fuck.
