>>118158982You can change how much money is awarded for points or results without changing the points awarded. There will never be a difference in the gap of final points at the end of the season, there will still be a difference of 3 million between wins and loses, 2 million difference for wins and draws, and 1 million difference for losses and draws. If you want to take away money for a loss, why can't you do that with the current points system?

>you are dismissing possible tiesunder no circumstance are gaps in points gained or closed any different under your new rules. Here's an example factoring in draws:

Team A: Played 20 - W10 D5 L5

Team B: Played 22 - W9 D8 L5

Under old rules they would have 35 points each, under the new rule team A has 15 points, team B has 13 points,

>so this favours the team that draws less?yes in the short run, but never in the long run, looking at possible results for Team A’s the 2 games in hand:

>team A wins two gamesOld rule, Team A has 41 points, so +6 more points than team B. New rule Team A has 19 points, so +6 again

>team A wins one draws oneOld rule, team A has 39 points (+4). New rule Team A has 17 points (+4)

>team A draws twoOld rule, 37 (+2). New rule 15 (+2)

>team A draws one loses oneOld rule, 36 (+1). New rule 16 (+1)

>team A loses twoOld rule, 35 (+0). New rule 13 (+0)
