>>51848352Yeah. I'll be honest it seems like she really wasn't listening properly.
I mean, RIFTS? REALLY?
The game that's been stuck in the 90's for 30 years and has been on life support for about as long?
Sure, there are worse licenses to paint on your wagon, but there are also a fucking shedload better.
For example: there's still at least two or three beloved Jerry Anderson properties to make boardgames out of (depending on how you feel about JOE-90) and War of the Worlds just went public domain last year... although actually, given how All Quiet on the Martian Front went down maybe he shouldn't have done that one.
Don't get me wrong, I'd blow my nut on an Axis and Allies variant that has alien invasions in it, but holy christ that KS ate that company alive.
I mean, if he'd gone to an actual banker and asked for a loan he wouldn't have got it because the banker would have taken a cursory look at Palladium Books and it's business practices and would have gone lolnope.
Well, after wondering if this guy could be trusted with his own bank account.
Or to tie his own shoelaces.
