But when you're saying this shit literally out of a hateful and bile-ridden place to demean another culture- that's when it stops being funny. And that's what this guy did.
Thats the EXACT point that you missed. Brits have no animosity towards Mexicans. We have nothing to with them.
Even those comments taken are not meant seriously.
This is EXACTLY what the producer, or whoever it was, meant by >>14394631
British humour is far, far, far more risqué and is acceptable to limits way beyond what American humour is.
If you can't get on with it, then, fine, don't watch Top Gear.
I find everything broadcast on the 'bible' channels reprehensible in so many ways, but many, many people enjoy it. Fine. More power to them. Leave it on the air.
Thats the price i pay for living in a country with free speech. (One of Americans most treasured possessions, if im not mistaken).
It is not, and i can assure you of this, having read several of Jeremy Clarkson's books, and having watched many, many series of Top Gear, genuine racism. The UK is a pretty racist country, see Jade Goody on Big Brother, Ron Atkinson's comment about Desailly, the list goes on.
Clarkson is very proud to be British, but is not a racist.
You have to see more than this one episode to judge the presenters properly. And you have to understand the national sense of humour, which is hard if you aren't British.
