Seriously, BCS stretches scenes out to excruciating lengths. This episode could have been half an hour, were it not for milking every scene and conversation with staring, awkward silence, etc. One conversation, commercial break, one event, commercial break.

I'm aware of that, it's still slow even for a drama. It's done to such an extent that the slow conversations and pauses actually give the opposite impression of realism.

That's interesting to know. I sort of got that impression when I was in Germany for a week but I just passed that off as old-world modesty.

Something I've never liked about Chinese and Western culture is how much the majority of people need to look like the hottest shit at all times. I go for a run with a group and everyone's wearing like $500 in fucking running "gear" and I have a beat up shirt, shorts, and expensive yet worn and still functional shoes. It baffles me how often people show up with new gear before the colors even begin to show signs of fading.

it's not just the cards. It's the massive hummer outside. It's that the whole plash was trashed like they were looking for something specific (the cards taken were left out in the open, and other cards in the back weren't). The robbery was seemingly localized to that one room. Then seeing the clear section in front of the couch was like the straw. It had clearly been moved

The cops didn't arrest him (yet). It's just that things seem weird and simply don't add up
