Prayer is very real when you have earnest intention. I believe genuinely wanting God’s relief and grace is the way that unlocking it occurs. A safety mechanism to help ensure that nobody uses God for evil. I like to focus on the tiles on my shower wall when I pray because you can easily trace the shape of a cross on them

Yeah, this. And the thing about asking for stuff is that what we want is usually not what will ultimately benefit us, and God of course knows this. You must trust His wisdom, power, and love for you. By doing so you won't be constantly negating what He is trying to help you with.

My experience with prayer has been wholesome. I have mainly prayed for the health of others, my wife, my child, my mother in law... I believe my prayers have been answered because they were able to survive their illness and operations.
I don't discard the effort that their medical staff made, I just think that if I hadn't prayed for them then the results may have been different.

I have come to reason that I can't prove God to others, and I shouldn't try to, but I can tell you he is real.

I recently had my old cat go missing in the last week, I thought he'd gone off to die alone somewhere. I prayed for him to come back so he could die at home, with us, or at least to lete find his body, so both myself and my other cats could know and mourn properly. He came home, had a few more days with us, had some more love and fusses, and passed. I believe there is more to this now, I may not believe in the definition of God by religions, but there is more there. Thank you, God, for bringing him home.

How do you know it is Jesus though? I’ve always just prayed to God in the generic sense while not ascribing many details to him. I am not christfag and I don't necessarily pray to allah or yahweh or jesus
but merely praying to just "god" or "higher beings" not attached to any religion sort of works
i am yet to understand how this works
i am guessing helpers outside our earth human vision are helping us 24/7 like guardian spirits or guardian angels.
too many people have spoken about it and many who have OBE experiences and DMT experiences speak similar entities so yeah that must be it.

Same here. I don't assume my deity's attributes - Jesus, god, Allah, Wotan, whomever. As has been said, we can't know God, it is beyond our comprehension. Either way, I am thankful.
